Great article Shawn! I always learn something from your writings, as you describe what to look for to a tee making my job much easier. I remember doing a little upland bird hunting, and those bird-dogs are indispensable. A fish-dog would be a real trip. As an amateur musician myself, I can appreciate Crockett’s full name and the double meaning of it (fishing and music). This story was a very enjoyable read. Thanks!

I enjoyed your great article. I often long for another perfect day of fishing on the waters of the Chesapeake. I wonder if you have become better at writing about your passion than you are at catching those elusive lunkers only to realize that you are excelling at both. Thanks for “fishing” for me. Liked your story. some day we want to see those fish jumping out of the water (top water) you call them. If we ever get there they probably will be sleeping. Our grand dog looks bigger since the last time we saw him. Isn’t he full grown by now? Great picture of Crockett

We sure did, Dwayne. I lived in White Pine for a while, always in that area until a few years ago when I moved up here. I use a lot of the same techniques for these Bay fish I used on the lakes. Thanks for writing.

Sounds amazing. I think we have fished some of the same waters in East Tennessee. I grew up in Dandridge. The white bass-we called them stripers– in Douglas Lake were that much fun sometimes. I’m new to to the Rockfish scene, but love it already.
