I hope to get in another fishing trip or two before the end of the year, but I want to take a few minutes to wish everyone a happy holiday season. Even though I’ve been off the water for a while, I haven’t been completely idle. I’m finally doing some serious boat shopping and narrowing my choices to what I hope will be the best possible light tackle fishing platform. I’ll keep you posted. 2010 promises some big changes for me and Chesapeake Light Tackle. I want to thank everyone who has visited this year. Since January we’ve seen over twenty thousand individual visitors, and many of you have come back time after time to read the latest fishing reports and articles. Out of over a hundred thousand page hits, we’ve had visitors from twenty countries and every state in the US. I was recently informed that CLT ranks as the second most visited non-listserve website for fishing information in Maryland. We’re right on the heels of the reports page on the Maryland DNR site. Thank you.
Even though 2009 was a phenominal fishing year for many light tackle anglers, 2010 promises to be even better, so please stay tuned. And from our house here on snowy Kent Island to yours, wherever you may be, here’s a clink of the glass toward tight lines and true trophies. May all your holiday fishes come true!
Congrats on the success of your website.
Shawn,
May you and your family have a safe and happy holiday. Thanks for all the tips this year. Greg Millenburg and myself have one item on our wish list for next year, and that’s to get you aboard our boat and fish the bay bridge. Tight lines….

Your house looks great with all the snow. Hope you had a great Christmas & wish you a Happy New Year. I almost didn’t notice the Crockett Rudolph.
James, thanks for all your help with the website. You are a true artist my friend. Here’s to some fun fishing trips in 2010 and hopefully we can work together on some other projects soon as well.
Shawn

When I am not on my boat I am on your website. Thanks for your efforts.
Shawn,
Thanks for your great website. Since we fish the same areas I hope to run into you one day (not literally). Your articles inspire many, and you should be proud.
Happy Holidays.
Bill
Shawn,
My son Bryan discovered your website about the time you posted the spanish Mackerel article and i’ve been “hooked” ever since. thanks for the valuable information and I look forward to more infor and great fishing in 2010. With regard to your search for your next Light Tackle boat, suggest you check out the new Sundance NX21. It’s a new design based on comments from Maryland waterfront owners that need shallow draft but don’t want to give up the freeboard. Nice idea. Happy New Year!
